Introducing: Madventures
Howdy Readers,
My last post was actually a sneak trial and preview of my new category “Madventures”. Once every month I will try and let my readers into an aspect of my life. I kid you not I have a madventure almost every day. Last month I documented and reviewed where I ate for a week and based on the comments it’s safe to assume that it went over well. Thanks so much for the support.
I continue the Madventure category this month with my new project ‘Physically Fit-ish”. In my own tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness month and the importance of health for EVERY woman. I have decided to document my quest to attend the gym everyday for the month of October. I will be switching things up a bit and use video entries to document this madness.
What’s does my gym attendance have to do with Breast Cancer you might ask? I hear ya’ll mumbling “skinny bitch”. Well it’s largely believed in the medical community that regular exercise can cut down your risk of developing the disease. My mom died from breast cancer years ago and if I can motivate one female to get up and get physically fit,I would have made her proud. Keep tuned in to the blog for when I start and wish me luck (me +my lazy ass).
*If you have any suggestions please send them to mamadvice@yahoo.com
P.S. -> I welcome sponsors 😉
Let the Madventure Begin,
Mamachel

[…] document… I start a madventure tomorrow with a fellow blogger/tweeter on Oct 4th, 2010. https://mamachel.wordpress.com/2010/09/30/introducing-madventures/ and I will be committing to a 30-day work out regime to become “physically fit-ish”. […]
This is awesome! Looking forward to seeing (or rather, reading) where your Madventure takes you!!! I should really hit the gym myself!!
Yeah man I like this quest a lot…fellow lazy ass :s Bwoy my conscience pricking me to work out because I have a gym in my building.
My grandma died from cancer – bone cancer but she had breast cancer first – and I absolutely agree that being fit & healthy helps to cut the risk of getting the disease. Good luck going every day in October AND I hope it becomes a habit that extends beyond far beyond this month…
Chels, I love the direction that you are taking your blog. You’re always fab to me, so I surely am looking forward to the Madventure. To be corny, dare I say: “It ah guh mad!!”
To show you how much this blog means to people and how much I wish to honour your commitment to your mother, I will join u on this quest. One less lazy ass (but definitely will be more shapely)!
Everyday? Thats a good look. The gym can be a fun place I enjoy working out, I must admit I haven’t done so in a while but through your motivation you never know I may start again……. LETS GET FIT
I wish all of you who commented were here with me to physically kick my ass! But, I HAVE to join this quest… and will do so. Honestly, not today… I will begin when I come back from Atlanta next Tuesday.
My father is a cancer survivor… but I’ve lost many relatives to cancer. I lost my beloved maternal grandmother in 1988 to breast cancer… and it is rampant on both sides of my family (breast and prostate).
Chel… I applaud you and I wish you all the best.
Awesome!! I’m in!!
Go for it Chelan… Proud of you!
